In an interview with CNBC released on November 9, 2023, David Baszucki, CEO of the globally popular online gaming platform Roblox, suggested the possibility of NFTs being supported on Roblox in the future.

While Baszucki did not explicitly state that NFTs would be supported, he did express a vision when asked about making Roblox a more open platform, mentioning "a small dream where objects or NFTs move from platform to platform."

Baszucki illustrated this with an example, saying, "Elton John might release a limited-edition cape for charity." He envisioned such NFTs emerging and being sold on Roblox, and ultimately returning to Roblox.

Baszucki expects that, regardless of who creates the digital items, creators will play a significant role and hold considerable control in this process.
