It is reported to be the largest oil extraction company in Brazil, with a daily oil extraction volume exceeding two million barrels, and also the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.

Blockchain Education Program Launched at Petrobras University

This partnership is centered around blockchain-related education. The Cardano Foundation will provide the content of the "Cardano Academy" at Petrobras University and hold blockchain education workshops for Petrobras employees.

The Cardano Academy is an extensive blockchain education program developed by the Cardano Foundation.

It aims to provide reliable resources for those interested in learning about the potential of blockchain technology.

The program includes discussions on the potential of blockchain, learning about its diverse use cases and applications, and interactive quizzes on related topics.

As part of the program's launch, two workshops will be conducted in the metaverse, one of which will delve into regulatory issues on a global scale, including those in Brazil.

The Cardano Academy content provided will be tailored by Petrobras for use in its employee training programs, accessible to over 40,000 Petrobras employees.

Certificates and NFTs for Participants

Employees participating in the course will receive a "Blockchain Training Certificate" upon completion. The first 500 participants will also receive an NFT issued in collaboration with the Petrobras Education Committee.

This NFT is designed to evolve with the participants' training progress, highlighting and tracking their achievements.

The Cardano Foundation comments on this partnership, expressing hope that it will be a precursor to many new initiatives, deepening blockchain understanding through employee education and ultimately exploring new applications of the technology in the energy sector.

Frederik Gregaard, CEO of the Cardano Foundation, and representatives from Petrobras have spoken about the partnership:

We are excited to partner with Petrobras and look forward to working with them, both to educate and to explore new use cases for blockchain technology.
