Sneak Peek into Someone's Cryptocurrency Holdings with Phantom's New "Wallet Watcher" Feature

Ever wondered what cryptocurrencies top industry figures hold or what NFTs they're collecting?

With Phantom's latest Wallet Watcher feature, monitoring the crypto assets and transactions of any address has never been easier.

Find out how this tool supports multiple blockchains and enhances your crypto curiosity, all while ensuring your monitoring is up-to-date with the latest technology.

Monitor Interesting Addresses with Ease

On February 23, 2024, Phantom, a cryptocurrency wallet that supports multiple blockchains including Solana (SOL), announced the addition of a new "Wallet Watcher" feature that allows users to monitor the activity of wallet addresses they find interesting.

This feature enables the addition of any wallet address as a "view-only account," available for use on both the extension and mobile app (an update to the latest version is required).

Although it's not possible to send or receive cryptocurrency from a monitored address, this feature allows users to check the holdings and transaction history just like their own wallet.

This can be particularly useful for observing the cryptocurrency assets held by notable figures in the industry or checking out the NFT collections they are gathering.

Supported Networks and How to Use It

The Wallet Watcher feature can be accessed by selecting "Add a Wallet" on Phantom, then choosing "Monitor an Address" and entering the "Address" or "Domain" of the wallet you wish to monitor.

This feature also supports Web3 domains like the Ethereum Name Service (ENS), allowing users to add a monitoring account not only by wallet address but also by domain name.

As of the time of writing, the networks supported and how to use the Wallet Watcher feature are as follows:

Supported Networks:

  • Solana
  • Ethereum
  • Polygon

How to Use:

  1. Choose "Add/Connect a Wallet" in the Phantom app or extension.
  2. Select "Watch Address."
  3. Set the "Network, Name, & Address" and choose "Import."
  4. The target address is added as a view-only account.
