Over 160 ATMs offer USDT and SHIB purchase options
Localcoin, a cryptocurrency ATM company based in Toronto, Canada, announced on March 10, 2024, that over 160 of its cryptocurrency ATMs installed across Australia now support Tether (USDT) and Shiba Inu (SHIB).
Localcoin is known for deploying cryptocurrency ATMs that facilitate the easy buying and selling of various cryptocurrencies.
In Canada, where the company is headquartered, it is reported that there are over 900 Localcoin cryptocurrency ATMs.
The company had previously announced in October last year that SHIB could be purchased at over 900 of its ATMs in Canada.
This latest announcement extends the availability of USDT and SHIB purchases to over 160 ATMs located in Australia.
Other Cryptocurrencies Available for Purchase
According to the official announcement, the following cryptocurrencies can also be purchased at Localcoin's cryptocurrency ATMs in Australia, as of the time of writing:
- XRP
- LTC
- ETH
- ADA
- USDC
- SHIB
- USDT
It was also mentioned that in order to purchase cryptocurrencies at a Localcoin ATM, a "cryptocurrency wallet for receiving" is required, and a "phone number" is necessary for selling cryptocurrencies.
