K9 Finance Enables $KNINE Token for NFT Transactions on Shibarium
K9 Finance, an official partner of Shiba Inu (SHIB), announced its partnership with the NFT marketplace Mantra Protocol on the Shibarium network on March 13, 2024.
K9 Finance operates a liquidity staking platform based on Shibarium, Shiba Inu's new Layer 2, which saw the launch of its governance token, $KNINE, earlier this month on March 8.
Mantra Protocol offers an NFT marketplace that supports multiple blockchains. Users can select "Shibarium" from the network selection button on its official website to buy and sell a variety of NFTs based on the Shibarium foundation.
This partnership means the $KNINE token will be adopted as a payment method for buying and selling NFTs on MANTRA. Additionally, it has been reported that NFT financial products will integrate the K9-related token, $knBONE.
Launch Schedule for K9 Finance v1 and Future Plans
Although K9 Finance's liquidity staking platform has not yet been released, "K9 Finance v1" is scheduled to launch in Q3 of 2024, with "K9 Finance v2" following in Q4 of the same year.
Shibarium, launched in August of last year, is a relatively new network that, as of March 14, 2024, has seen its connected wallet addresses grow to 1.37 million and total transactions surpass 400 million.
In January, SHIB's marketing leader, Lucie, announced the goal of launching 1,000 projects on Shibarium. This indicates an expectation for a significant expansion of projects and services on the Shibarium network in the future.
As service deployment intensifies, partnerships and collaborations, such as the recent announcement between K9 Finance and MANTRA, are expected to increase, making future announcements and developments in the SHIB ecosystem highly anticipated.
