El Salvador to Introduce Bitcoin Education in Schools by 2024: A Global Trendsetter in Cryptocurrency Training

In a groundbreaking move, El Salvador is set to bring Bitcoin education to public schools by 2024.

Collaborating with "Mi Primer Bitcoin", this initiative isn't just about educating the youth—it's about shaping the future of global cryptocurrency awareness and adoption.

Partnership with Non-Profit and Ministry of Education

El Salvador's Ministry of Education has joined forces with the non-profit and NGO "Mi Primer Bitcoin" to incorporate Bitcoin into their curriculum.

John Dennehy, founder of Mi Primer Bitcoin (MPB), emphasized that their program would be a significant part of the Bitcoin curriculum, granting students a completion certificate upon finishing.

The pilot program training, supported by Bitcoin Beach, is slated to kick off on September 7th.

This Bitcoin certification program aims to furnish "basic knowledge" about Bitcoin and is set to be taught by 150 teachers from 75 schools.

El Salvador: Pioneering in Bitcoin Adoption

"As the first country to adopt Bitcoin, El Salvador will serve as a global exemplar," Dennehy stated. He stressed the paramount role of quality education in ensuring that this example shines positively on the world stage.

Upon concluding the initial training, teachers will return to their institutions and instruct from a curriculum devised by the Ministry of Education.

Dennehy expressed hope, stating, "If successful, by next year, this program will be rolled out in all schools nationwide."

In a recent interview with Bitcoin Beach, community leader Roman Martínez mentioned that over 25,000 students in El Salvador have already been educated about Bitcoin.

Global Aspirations Beyond El Salvador

While El Salvador remains the focal point, Dennehy's broader mission is to spread Bitcoin education worldwide.

"El Salvador is leading the way in public Bitcoin education, and we anticipate other nations to follow.

The world is watching us closely," he commented. Notably, on September 4th, Bitcoin Cuba announced the launch of their version of "Mi Primer Bitcoin" on social media.
