New Feature to Sell ADA Added to Mobile App
On May 23, 2024, Yoroi Wallet, the cryptocurrency wallet for Cardano (ADA), announced the introduction of a new feature in its mobile wallet app that allows users to sell ADA and exchange it for fiat currencies.
This new functionality is provided in collaboration with Encryptus, a service that offers cryptocurrency-to-fiat exchange, enabling users to exchange ADA for over 50 different fiat currencies through their mobile devices.
Sell ADA via the “Sell ADA” Button
After updating Yoroi Wallet to the latest version, a “Buy/Sell ADA” button will appear under the “Wallet” tab. By clicking this button and selecting “Sell ADA,” users can access the ADA selling feature.
On the “Sell ADA” screen, users can enter the amount of ADA they wish to sell and tap “PROCEED” to open a page in their browser, where they can complete the exchange process (login with an email address is required).
There are four methods available for receiving the exchanged fiat currency: bank transfer, mobile wallet, gift card, and mobile phone top-up. The available methods vary depending on the user’s location.
According to EMURGO, the company behind Yoroi Wallet, users can exchange ADA for over 50 fiat currencies, including EUR, INR, PHP, NGN, and BRL. In the US, users can choose between gift cards and mobile top-up, while in the UK, options include gift cards and bank transfers.
The addition of this new feature is expected to make buying and selling ADA easier, thereby promoting more active trading of ADA.
