The Dogwifhat (WIF) fundraising campaign for displaying a massive advertisement on the Sphere in Las Vegas is still a work in progress, according to one of the organizers. Despite successfully raising the necessary funds, the advertisement has not yet been displayed, leading to some donors requesting refunds.

Organizer Mihir assures that efforts are ongoing and that donors will be informed and refunded if the project is canceled.

Ongoing Efforts Towards Advertisement Display

In a recent report by "Decrypt," one of the organizers of the fundraising campaign for the Dogwifhat (WIF) gigantic advertisement discussed the current progress.

Dogwifhat is a Solana (SOL)-based dog-themed meme coin, and the campaign aims to display a massive advertisement on a huge spherical screen in Las Vegas, known as the "Sphere."

This fundraising campaign started in March this year on a dedicated website, with the goal of raising funds to feature the Dogwifhat advertisement temporarily on the Sphere.

Although the campaign has successfully raised approximately $700,000 against a target of $650,000, as of June 2024, the advertisement has not yet been displayed.

In response to the delay in the advertisement display, some donors have started requesting refunds. According to "Decrypt," Mihir, one of the campaign organizers, explained on Telegram that the efforts to advertise on the Sphere are still ongoing.

The Sphere project is still a work in progress. Such endeavors take time, and we are all volunteers dedicating our time to the meme.

Ongoing Communication with the Sphere and Refund Policy

The fundraising team is currently in communication with the Sphere, and they have reported some clarity regarding the costs involved. However, the organizers emphasized that managing this project as a volunteer group is exceptionally challenging.

Due to the lack of official updates on progress, some donors have expressed dissatisfaction.

Mihir assured donors on the Telegram channel that they would be informed immediately in case of a cancellation, and refunds would be processed.

Given that sufficient funds have been raised and considering the recent updates, it is anticipated that further details about the advertisement display will be announced once the negotiations with the Sphere are finalized.

Nonetheless, since this gigantic advertisement project is being managed by volunteers, it is important to acknowledge that it might take some more time before the advertisement is actually displayed.
