Introduced after the Worldcoin launch in July 2023, the WLD Grant Reservation system enables users to reserve rewards even before completing biometric verification.

Extension of Reward Redemption Deadline for Reserved Grants
On July 10, 2024, Worldcoin (WLD) announced the extension of the reward redemption deadline for the “WLD Grant Reservation” by one year, specifically for unverified users without a World ID.
What is the WLD Grant Reservation?
The WLD Grant Reservation is a system introduced shortly after the launch of Worldcoin in July 2023, allowing users to reserve WLD rewards.
With Worldcoin, users can receive WLD rewards regularly by using the iris recognition device “Orb” for biometric verification to issue a World ID. However, the WLD Grant Reservation allows users to reserve WLD rewards even before verification.
The WLD Grant Reservation can be easily managed through the Worldcoin wallet app, “World App.” Users can create a simple account within the app, reserve their rewards, and then complete Orb verification within the given deadline to claim their reserved rewards.
It is important to note that the reserved WLD rewards are not immediately available upon Orb verification. Instead, users can claim the reserved rewards on the Grant disbursement date after verification.
WLD Grants Redeemable Until July 31, 2025
Initially, the deadline to redeem WLD rewards obtained through the WLD Grant Reservation system was set for one year, making the original redemption deadline July 2024. However, the recent announcement extends this deadline by one year.
As a result, WLD grants reserved between July 24, 2023, and July 31, 2024, can now be redeemed until July 31, 2025.
This extension aligns with Worldcoin’s long-term mission to “provide access to the global economy for everyone and ensure that as many people as possible can participate in and benefit from the project.”
