A Major Step for a Billion People: Shiba Inu Partners with the International Indian Film Academy Awards

Shiba Inu (SHIB) has partnered with the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in a landmark agreement aimed at reaching a billion users.

With India being the most populous country and a cinematic powerhouse, this multi-year partnership not only introduces SHIB's technology to a global audience but also represents a critical step in SHIB's mission to build a decentralized nation.

Discover how this collaboration could shape the future of the SHIB ecosystem and its global impact.

SHIB Technology to Be Integrated into IIFA’s Infrastructure

The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), an annual event that began in 2000, recognizes excellence in Hindi cinema, with winners determined by online voting from movie fans.

This partnership is a multi-year agreement aimed at integrating Shiba Inu's technology into IIFA’s infrastructure, including offering event tickets through SHIB’s ticketing system.

This marks the first time a cryptocurrency project has entered into such a long-term partnership with a global event like IIFA.

The use of SHIB technology at IIFA is seen as a crucial opportunity to demonstrate the utility of SHIB-related technologies on a global scale, potentially driving the worldwide adoption of SHIB.

Reaching One Billion Users in the SHIB Ecosystem

The Shiba Inu (SHIB) project has long aimed to engage one billion users within its ecosystem, with various upgrades and partnerships in place to achieve this goal.

India, with a population exceeding 1.4 billion as of 2024, is not only the most populous country but also the largest film-producing nation in the world. Therefore, the partnership with IIFA is expected to be a vital step toward achieving the goal of reaching one billion users.

Shytoshi Kusama emphasized the magnitude of this partnership, noting that even the Super Bowl attracts only 200 million viewers, and that combining the audiences of all EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony) ceremonies wouldn’t reach one billion.

He pointed out that few events, apart from the Olympics, have the potential to connect with such a vast audience.

In addition to connecting with a large number of movie fans, the partnership with IIFA is expected to attract new partners and developers, serving as a major advancement in SHIB’s mission to build a decentralized nation.

SHIB is also a member of the Content Delivery & Security Association (CDSA), which includes senior technology executives from prominent companies such as Adobe, Amazon, Apple, Disney, LEGO, and Netflix.

With this and other initiatives, further announcements are anticipated.
