Limited Edition of 2,000 "VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFTs" for Sale
Casio Computer Co., Ltd. announced on November 28, 2023, that they will start selling a limited edition of 2,000 "VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFTs" from December 15.
These NFTs represent the future shock-resistant structure of the "G-SHOCK" watch in virtual space.
In September 2023, the company launched the "VIRTUAL G-SHOCK" project to promote communication in virtual spaces.
They distributed a free NFT, "G-SHOCK CREATOR PASS," which serves as a membership to their Discord community, and have been hosting various co-creation projects.
The newly announced "VIRTUAL G-SHOCK NFT" is part of these initiatives, with two design patterns, "VGA-001" and "VGA-002," being released for sale.
"VGA-001" is designed with a balloon concept, imagining "G-SHOCK enveloped in a balloon, floating freely," while "VGA-002" uses a leaf spring concept, representing "the future shock-resistant structure of G-SHOCK, bouncing back forcefully with the power of a spring."

"G-SHOCK THE RIDE" is a ride-type attraction based on the actual durability tests conducted at G-SHOCK's Hamura Technology Center.
It allows users to embark on a theme park-like ride with avatars and enjoy unreal virtual space productions.
