Comprehensive Guide on ASI Token Integration: Essential for FET, OCEAN, AGIX Holders

The Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, a collaborative effort of AI-related cryptocurrency projects, released a comprehensive guide on May 29, 2024.

This guide details the integration schedule, changes, and future plans for the three AI-related tokens—FET, OCEAN, and AGIX—into a single ASI token.

Initially, the integration of FET, OCEAN, and AGIX into the ASI token was scheduled to start on June 11, 2024. However, the schedule has been revised to begin on July 1, 2024.

This guide outlines the necessary actions for FET, OCEAN, and AGIX token holders to facilitate this transition.

Overview of the ASI Token Integration Plan (Including Changes)

The "ASI Token Integration Plan" executed by the Artificial Superintelligence Alliance involves merging the following tokens into one ASI token:

Project NameToken Name/Ticker
Fetch.aiFET
SingularityNETAGIX
Ocean ProtocolOCEAN

The integration will occur in two phases starting on July 1, 2024. Phase 1 involves merging AGIX and OCEAN into FET. In Phase 2, the merged FET tokens will be rebranded as ASI.

During Phase 1, the integration will take place on the Ethereum blockchain. If you hold tokens on other chains and wish to participate in Phase 1, you need to bridge them from their respective chains. If you prefer to wait for support from other chains like Cardano or Polygon, you can wait until Phase 2.

Overview of Token Integration Phase 1

Phase 1 of the ASI token integration involves merging AGIX and OCEAN into FET, starting on July 1, 2024. Key activities include:

  • Updating project names and logos
  • Halting AGIX and OCEAN deposits and withdrawals for transition preparation
  • Continuing normal FET deposits, withdrawals, and trading
  • Opening a platform on SingularityDAO dApp for transitioning AGIX and OCEAN to FET
  • Delisting AGIX and OCEAN from exchanges (FET trading continues under existing tickers)

If you hold AGIX or OCEAN in self-custody wallets like MetaMask, you need to manually exchange them to FET.

If you hold AGIX or OCEAN on centralized exchanges like Binance, no action is required on your part.

Overview of Token Integration Phase 2

Phase 2 involves rebranding the integrated FET tokens to ASI. This phase also introduces migration contracts for tokens not yet converted to FET.

Additionally, migration contracts for Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) based FET tokens will be deployed. Once Fetch.ai's mainnet upgrade is complete, mainnet FET tokens will automatically convert to ASI.

Phase 2 activities include:

  • Supporting community members managing their assets
  • Deploying ASI tokens across the chain
  • Upgrading the Fetch.ai network to the ASI network
  • Introducing migration contracts for converting FET, AGIX, and OCEAN to ASI
  • Opening EVM and other bridges to facilitate ASI token transfers
  • Initiating FET to ASI migration in cryptocurrency exchanges

⚠️ Warning About Scams ⚠️

At no point during the ASI token transition will you be asked to provide your seed phrase or private keys. Beware of scams, phishing, and impersonation attempts. Trust only the following official sources:

Actions for Token Holders and Key Dates

If you hold FET, AGIX, or OCEAN on a centralized exchange, you don't need to take any action. However, if you hold these tokens in a self-custody wallet, you need to initiate the migration process.

Key events starting July 1, 2024:

    • Availability of conversion contracts for AGIX and OCEAN to FET
    • Suspension of AGIX and OCEAN deposits and withdrawals on exchanges
    • Initiation of AGIX and OCEAN delisting from exchanges
    • Project rebranding to Artificial Superintelligence Alliance on third-party platforms

Token Migration, Exchange, and Conversion Methods

AGIX and OCEAN held on exchanges will be automatically converted to ASI. If you hold these tokens in a wallet, you need to manually initiate the conversion.

ASI token integration supports major wallets like MetaMask and Trust Wallet, as well as hardware wallets like Ledger and Trezor.

Although not all exchanges are guaranteed to support the token integration, efforts are underway to ensure a smooth transition for all token holders.

Phase 1 will handle integration on the Ethereum network, while Phase 2 will enhance interoperability with ecosystems like BNB Chain and Cardano.

    Conversion rates are as follows:

    TokenConversion Rate
    $FET1 FET = 1 ASI
    $OCEAN1 OCEAN = 0.433226 ASI
    $AGIX1 AGIX = 0.433350 ASI

If you hold AGIX or OCEAN in a self-custody wallet, connect it to the official conversion portal hosted on SingularityDAO's dApp to exchange your tokens.

The image of the exchange screen is shown below, and the tokens can be converted according to the on-screen instructions.

Note that if you are new to AGIX, OCEAN, or FET, you may need to add the token's contract information to your wallet to ensure that the balance is displayed correctly.

    *Additional information:
While the tool for converting tokens has not yet been released, it is expected that a link will be posted on the official website after the release, as the "official ASI website" states that 'the migration link and details for unmanaged wallets will be provided here.

    Additional Information

The token conversion tools will be available for several years, so there's no need to rush. Standard transaction fees apply, but there are no additional conversion fees.

During the conversion process, you will never be asked to enter your seed phrase or other sensitive information. Always verify the legitimacy of any site requesting such information.

Native FET holders should note that staked tokens will automatically transition during Phase 2, and staking rewards will continue uninterrupted.

Liquidity providers need to manually withdraw funds and reallocate them to updated pools for optimal efficiency. Further details will be provided in future updates.
