TON Applications Chain (TAC) Launched

On July 10, 2024, The Open Platform announced a new project called the TON Applications Chain (TAC).

The TON Applications Chain (TAC) is a Layer 2 network of The Open Network (TON), designed to bring Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility to the TON ecosystem.

The allure of the TON Applications Chain (TAC) lies in its ability to enable Ethereum-based applications to function within the TON network. This means that Ethereum developers can now extend their services to TON users.

TAC plans to utilize Polygon’s Chain Development Kit (CDK), which is expected to facilitate the development of decentralized finance (DeFi), gaming, and decentralized ID solutions within the TON ecosystem.

Currently, TON is experiencing significant momentum, with its cryptocurrency ranking in the top 10 by market capitalization and continuously increasing trading volumes. Analysts predict that the introduction of TAC will further accelerate this growth.

Pavel Altukhov, the creator of TAC, expressed confidence, stating, “TAC will significantly boost TON’s growth.” He anticipates that TAC will foster innovative services in fields such as financial services, gaming, social networking, and personal authentication.

Industry experts believe that the advent of TAC could have a substantial impact not only on TON but on the entire cryptocurrency industry. Recently, the news about the Telegram-based game “Hamster Combat” surpassing 239 million users has garnered attention.

With the introduction of TAC, there is a growing potential for a wider array of cryptocurrency services to be offered on platforms with large user bases. This could greatly promote cryptocurrency adoption and serve as a crucial turning point for the entire industry.
