Mysterious Whale Ranks as the "Third Largest Bitcoin Holder" | Accumulates $4 Billion Worth of BTC in About 3 Months

A mysterious Bitcoin whale has emerged as the third-largest holder of Bitcoin, accumulating about $4 billion worth of BTC in just three months.

Who is behind this address, and what does it mean for the crypto market?

Following Binance & Bitfinex, the "Third Largest Holder in the World"

An unidentified Bitcoin wallet address has been revealed to have accumulated "118,300 BTC," equivalent to over $4 billion, in about three months, according to data from BitInfoCharts.

This BTC whale's wallet address is "bc1ql49ydapnjafl5t2cp9zqpjwe6pdgmxy98859v2," and when viewed in the BTC holding rankings, it follows "Binance" and "Bitfinex" as the "third-largest BTC whale in the world."

Who Owns the Newly Appeared BTC Address?

Although the owner of this wallet address has not been revealed as of the time of writing, there are views that the overwhelming amount of BTC held may indicate "a possibility that a cryptocurrency exchange is moving Bitcoin to a new address."

Furthermore, the world's fourth-largest BTC whale is "Binance's cold wallet," but since several "owner-unknown BTC addresses" follow in the top list, it is considered that they may not belong to an exchange.
