Cryptocurrency Wallet and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

It has come to light that Microsoft's next-generation Xbox console may include support for a cryptocurrency wallet.

According to a report by Axios, leaked slides reveal that the upcoming console could offer a multitude of features, including support for cryptocurrency wallets, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and machine learning.

The implementation of AI and machine learning is speculated to be for enhancing game graphics to ultra-high resolution, improving frame rates, and generating character dialogues, among other things.

While no specific details about the cryptocurrency wallet feature have been disclosed, the integration of a wallet into the Xbox platform could potentially enable various applications, such as cryptocurrency payments, acquisition and management of NFTs, and handling of different digital currencies.

Xbox Timeline and Speculation

The new version of the current Xbox model could possibly be released in 2024, with new controllers coming out in May 2024.

However, Axios cautions that the leaked documents, dated May 2022, may not reflect Microsoft's current plans.

Microsoft's Proactive Stance on Blockchain Technology

Although no official announcement regarding cryptocurrency wallet support has been made, Microsoft has shown interest in crypto-assets and blockchain-related initiatives.

Their past efforts have been varied; for instance, a 2021 survey about preferred payment methods on Xbox included Bitcoin (BTC) as an option.

While it's unclear at this moment whether the next-generation Xbox will indeed feature a cryptocurrency wallet, given Microsoft's previous activities in the cryptocurrency sphere, there's a reasonable expectation that such a feature might be introduced.

Consequently, attention is focused on forthcoming updates and official announcements.
